COURSE OBJECTIVES
Industrial automation is the use of components & systems such as sensors, controllers and actuators for monitoring and controlling the industrial machinery and processes to improve productivity & reliability in manufacturing. All manufacturing industries throughout the world have benefited through the technological advancements in machinery process monitoring, controlling and industrial automation over the past decades.
The pace of modernization projects in India is increasing every year and capturing attention of global technology majors and machine builders in establishing engineering, manufacturing and customer service facilities. Emerging infrastructural and manufacturing projects are technologically challenging and it is time for our best engineering talent to get excited and be prepared to participate in the emerging landscape.
The objective of the proposed course is to introduce the state-of-the-art technology & products in automation to practicing engineers and academicians to enable them to take up challenging assignments in the future & spread the learning to the peers and creating a professional environment. Background theory of products & technology in automation as well as practical hands on shall be introduced & deliberates upon during the programme
